Wait, where's this journey?

I'm a newb at blogs. That's no excuse for me to go forgetting to include some dang maps! Where am I going?

I'm starting off (at home) from Los Angeles, CA, USA. That's the yellow flag with a white star on this North Atlantic-centered map. (Thanks, Google for making this easy.)
I'm heading northeast to Denmark, the Netherlands, and Scotland. Scotland isn't part of the study abroad course. I figured I might as well go to another one of the places up north that I want to experience, however briefly. July seems like the perfect time to visit.
First, up is Denmark--about a week in Copenhagen and one in Odense. That means I'll spend midsommar up north! We'll cycle to get around for our various meetings and learning adventures. There's some train and ferry travel in there along the way with an island visit too.
Then it's on to the Netherlands--about a week in Utrecht and in Amsterdam. More biking to be had! Maybe I'll find some queer spots to check out if we get some open evenings.
At that point, the learning abroad course will end. I'll head off to Scotland and meet up with my joyfriend for about a week--rolling on the rails through Edinburgh, Glasgow, Oban, and Mallaig. We'll check out feminist bookstores, historic sites, and queer spots too.
In the end, I'll take an overnight train to London, spend a day in the city, then head back to Los Angeles from London.
